Modified V-Twin de-husker to process Cacay nuts in South America.
We do get requests to modify our machines for a variety of nuts, such as this machine specifically modified by us to De-Husk Cacay nuts in South America which has just left the workshop heading for Columbia.
We look forward to the results of the trials being performed with this machine over the next few months.
The Cacay nut has 3 kernels and an overall size of 75mm, presenting some unique design challenges for us, as compared to a Macadamia at only 45mm diameter. But with a new top bar design we are confident this will do the job with ease.
The machine we came up with has an expected capacity of up to 500kg per hour of nuts in husk, and can still be driven either by the electric motor supplied or from a tractor PTO driveshaft.
